Alternative Media Expo

This Saturday, April 17th, the Alternative Media Expo presented by New Orleans Music Magazine, Antigravity, will be happening in New Orleans at the Contemporary Arts Center (in the Warehouse District). ICON Studios members, Patrick Rills and Dave Wandell, will be on hand selling prints of Dave's art as well as copies of "Guns McMenamin: A Day in the Life," "Like That," and "M.O.P.S: Volume 1"

Also, it will feature tons of other exhibitors with comics, 'zines, fashion, crafts, music, film, design, community activism and much more! Check out the website for a list of exhibitors:

Louisiana Book Festival - New Release!

Next Saturday, October 17th, the Louisiana Book Festival will be going down outside the State Capital. It's been a couple of years since we've been an exhibitor, but we are back with a new comic book, "Guns McMenamin: A Day in the Life" (cover pictured below). It will be your first chance to purchase the new comic. We will be sharing a table with Sentient Studios, who will be selling their collection of poetry. To find us, we'll be at an outdoor table on the walkway from Fourth Street to the Capital building (the hedges).

This month ICON Studios will bring together some of Baton Rouge�s most talented and unique artists for a showcase of art created entirely with pixels and bytes. Gallery N, located on 137 Alello Drive in Baton Rouge, will host the opening reception on Saturday, January 10, 2009. The event is free and open to the public from 6:00 until 10:00 PM. Hors d'oeuvres and spirits will be served with music to be provided by DJ OttO.
